Rosella at the Rand - http://rosellacoffee.com/
To follow up on my previous Rosella post, I went with my sister and her friend who was visiting from out of town to the other Rosella location at the Rand building in downtown San Antonio. The menu was mostly the same as the breakfast/lunch menu at the Jones location with maybe a few additional options, but the ambience was completely different! The space was more open and had a well-stocked bar in the middle. Despite the construction outside the building making a bit of noise, I think I liked the atmosphere of this Rosella better than the other one for brunch, though it definitely did not seem as conducive to meeting up with friends to study. I'll have to go here again on Sunday to try their brunch menu, butthe food was as always amazing and it wasn't busy at all, even at the peak brunch time of 11am on a Saturday.
Brunch Hours: Sunday, 9am-3pm
Brunch Specials: $5 mimosa, $7 bloody mary, $5 michelada, chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, pretzel croissant
Vibe: Laid back upscale brunch cafe
Prices: $-$$$
When to go: We went at 11am, and it was almost empty. Amidst some construction, there's a parking lot across the street that's very convenient and not too expensive for 2hr parking.
